Soto Ayam Recipe

Ingredients:
- 500g chicken (use breast or thigh)
- 2 liters of water
- 3 kaffir lime leaves
- 2 stalks lemongrass (bruised)
- 2 cm galangal (bruised)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground pepper
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp chicken stock powder (optional)
- Cooking oil for sautéing
Spice Paste:
- 5 shallots
- 3 garlic cloves
- 3 candlenuts (toasted)
- 1 cm turmeric (lightly grilled)
- 1 cm ginger
Toppings:
- 100g vermicelli (soaked in hot water)
- 2 boiled eggs (cut in half)
- 2 stalks green onions (thinly sliced)
- 1 stalk celery (chopped)
- Fried shallots
- Chili sauce and lime wedges
Instructions:
1. Boil the chicken in 2 liters of water until fully cooked, then remove and shred the meat. Keep the broth.
2. Sauté the spice paste with kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass, and galangal until fragrant.
3. Add the sautéed spices into the chicken broth and stir well.
4. Season with salt, pepper, sugar, and chicken stock powder. Let it simmer.
5. Prepare serving bowls by placing vermicelli, shredded chicken, and boiled eggs.
6. Pour the hot broth over the bowl, then sprinkle with green onions, celery, and fried shallots.
7. Serve with chili sauce and lime wedges.

Soto ayam adalah salah satu hidangan khas Indonesia yang berkuah kuning gurih, disajikan dengan suwiran ayam, bihun, dan pelengkap lainnya. Berikut resepnya!
Bahan-bahan:
- 500 gr ayam (pilih bagian dada atau paha)
- 2 liter air
- 3 lembar daun jeruk
- 2 batang serai (memarkan)
- 2 cm lengkuas (memarkan)
- 1 sdt garam
- 1/2 sdt merica bubuk
- 1/2 sdt gula pasir
- 1 sdt kaldu ayam bubuk (opsional)
- Minyak untuk menumis
#### **Bumbu Halus:**
- 5 butir bawang merah
- 3 siung bawang putih
- 3 butir kemiri (sangrai)
- 1 cm kunyit (bakar sebentar)
- 1 cm jahe
Pelengkap:
- 100 gr bihun (rendam air panas)
- 2 butir telur rebus (belah dua)
- 2 batang daun bawang (iris halus)
- 1 batang seledri (iris halus)
- Bawang goreng secukupnya
- Sambal dan jeruk nipis
Cara Membuat:
1. Rebus ayam dalam 2 liter air hingga matang, angkat dan suwir-suwir. Sisihkan air kaldunya.
2. Tumis bumbu halus bersama daun jeruk, serai, dan lengkuas hingga harum.
3. Masukkan bumbu tumisan ke dalam air kaldu ayam, aduk rata.
4. Tambahkan garam, merica, gula, dan kaldu bubuk. Masak hingga mendidih.
5. Siapkan mangkuk, tata bihun, suwiran ayam, dan telur rebus.
6. Siram dengan kuah panas, taburi daun bawang, seledri, dan bawang goreng.
7. Sajikan dengan sambal dan jeruk nipis.
